Coronal Mass Ejection
Catalog: M2M_CATALOG
Start Time: 2025-03-07T16:48Z ( SOHO: LASCO/C2 )
All Detecting Spacecrafts:
SOHO: LASCO/C2
SOHO: LASCO/C3
STEREO A: SECCHI/COR2
Activity ID: 2025-03-07T16:48:00-CME-001 (version 1)
Note Keyword:
GAP: Data gap
Source Signature Keyword:
PEA: Post eruption arcade
OFL: Moving/Opening field lines
Morphology Keyword:
L: Loop
Note: CME first seen in the NW by SOHO LASCO C2. The source of this event is an area of field line opening seen along or just beyond the NW limb in SDO AIA 171, 193, 211 and GOES SUVI 284. Post eruptive arcades are also visible in SDO AIA 94 and 131 following the opening. This CME is almost entirely obstructed by a data gap in STEREO A COR2 which lasted from 2025-03-07T14:53Z to 2025-03-07T21:23Z.

The List of CME Analysis already entered:
Event Type Catalog
Measurement TypeCME measurement type: Leading Edge (LE), Shock Front (SH), Right Hand Boundary (RHB), Left Hand Boundary (LHB), Black/White Boundary (BW), Prominence Core (COR), Disconnection Front (DIS), Trailing Edge (TE).
Prime?"primary flag" which is either True or False. If there are multiple CME analysis entries for a single CME, this flag would indicate which analysis is considered most accurate per measurement type. This is a helpful flag if you would like to download only one most accurate CME analysis per CME per Measurement Type

This feature in C2 appears to be traveling slightly faster than the surrounding/overlapping material, which becomes diffuse and seems to fall apart or loose momentum before reaching the edge of the C2 field of view. The northernmost feature reaches into the SOHO LASCO C3 field of view. Not modeled Hannah Hermann on 2025-03-08T01:03Z
